Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Support Facilitator to join a fully remote team serving clients in Randburg and surrounds. You will provide remote mental health support, psychoeducation, and resource navigation to individuals facing challenges, using telehealth and secure records.

The ideal candidate has experience in mental health support, strong virtual communication, empathy, and the ability to develop collaborative support plans with clients and link to community

Qualifications

• Qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or related mental health field.
• Registered with a relevant professional body (e.g., HPCSA).
• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health support or counseling.
• Excellent virtual communication, active listening and empathy skills.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of Randburg area mental health services and resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support sessions via video conferencing and phone calls.
• Conduct mental health assessments and develop collaborative support plans.
• Offer psychoeducation on mental health conditions, coping strategies and self-care.
• Facilitate referrals to specialized mental health services and community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records using secure electronic systems.
• Advocate for clients' needs within the mental health system.
