Prior experience in healthcare admin is preferred but not required, and strong

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a medical receptionist or healthcare admin preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with medical scheduling and/or basic billing terms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Tech-savvy and able to work with scheduling software and EMRs.
• Able to work independently and stay productive when call volume is low.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming patient calls and provide courteous, accurate information
• Assist new patients with enrollment and account setup
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as requested
• Take detailed messages for medical and administrative staff
• Make outbound calls to remind patients to book annual wellness visits or follow-ups
• Respond to simple billing questions or direct patients to the appropriate contact
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our system
