Placements24 is seeking an Investment Banking Associate for a completely remote role, based from Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will support origination and execution of M&A transactions, develop advanced financial models, and prepare client materials for strategic deals with global reach.

The ideal candidate will have an MBA or Master’s in Finance/Economics and 2–4 years of relevant experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and a proven track record in valuation and financial analysis.

Qualifikationen

• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a related field.
• Proven proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, and M&A processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Assist in the origination and execution of M&A transactions.
• Develop detailed financial models, including LBO, DCF, and comparable company analysis.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials.
• Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support transaction strategies.
• Perform valuation analyses and financial due diligence.
• Support senior bankers in client interactions and negotiations.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors throughout the deal process.
• Monitor market trends and identify potential transaction opportunities.
• Contribute to the overall strategic development of the investment banking division.
