Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Investment Banker specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions to join an elite team. Based out of Rustenburg with remote flexibility, the role focuses on advising clients in Banking & Finance on complex transactions. Travel may be required for high-profile deals.

The ideal candidate has an MBA or similar, 6+ years of M&A experience, and strong financial modeling and deal-structuring expertise. Bloomberg, CapIQ, and FactSet proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or related field from a top-tier institution.
• Minimum of 6 years in investment banking or corporate development with strong M&A focus.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with negotiation ability.

Responsibilities

• Advise corporate clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions.
• Develop complex financial models (DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution).
• Conduct due diligence and valuation analyses for deals.
• Prepare pitch books, presentations, and transaction documentation.
• Manage deal processes from origination to closing.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, legal counsel, and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and assist in client origination.
• Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, regulatory changes affecting M&A.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors in a remote setting.
