About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the supply chain and logistics industry, is actively seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role is designed for individuals passionate about optimizing the movement of goods and ensuring the efficiency of supply chain operations. As a fully remote position, you will have the autonomy to manage logistics processes from your home office, collaborating closely with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams. Your primary focus will be on coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, and identifying opportunities to enhance cost-effectiveness and service quality. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process for shipments, including planning, scheduling, and tracking.
• Liaise with transportation providers to negotiate rates, book shipments, and resolve any transit issues.
• Monitor shipments in real-time and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes to ensure cost-efficiency and timely delivery.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status and logistics matters.
• Manage carrier performance and provide feedback to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall supply chain network.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of transportation modes, shipping regulations, and international trade compliance.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and tools, including TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills for effective interaction with carriers and stakeholders.
• Analytical abilities to interpret data and identify optimization opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience with customs clearance procedures is an asset.
