Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Logistics Coordinator to join our national logistics team. The role focuses on optimizing the flow of goods and information across our network, coordinating with carriers, and tracking shipments from home offices.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field, at least three years’ experience in logistics coordination, and strong analytical and communication skills to thrive in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of logistics coordination experience.
• Proficient with logistics software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Reliable internet and suitable home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling and tracking.
• Optimize routes and modes for timely, cost-efficient delivery.
• Liaise with carriers, suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and shipments.
• Analyze data to identify efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and distribute logistics reports to management.
• Manage shipping, receiving and customs documentation.
• Identify disruptions and implement contingency plans.
• Foster relationships with logistics partners.
