Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Legal Counsel to join its established legal department in a fully remote role. You will provide essential legal services focusing on contract management, regulatory affairs, and general corporate support from your home office.

The ideal candidate is an admitted SA attorney with strong commercial law knowledge, able to work independently and collaborate with a remote team to ensure legal excellence and ethical compliance.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with at least 5 years of legal experience.
• Experience in contract, corporate law, and regulatory matters.
• Ability to work remotely with strong time management.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on compliance matters and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in managing corporate legal documentation and records.
• Conduct legal research and provide clear, concise advice.
• Support the legal team on litigation matters, as required.
• Advise on employment law issues and assist with policy development.
• Manage intellectual property portfolios and advise on registration and protection.
• Ensure all legal activities align with the company's strategic objectives and risk appetite.
