Placements24 seeks a Lead Water Resources Engineer to lead complex water resources and infrastructure projects from a fully remote setting. You will guide project teams, develop innovative strategies, and ensure technical excellence across water-related services.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, PE license, and expertise in hydraulic modeling, GIS, and watershed management, enabling effective virtual collaboration and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Civil/Environmental Engineering with Water Resources specialization.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• ≥10 years of progressive water resources engineering experience with project leadership.
• Experience in hydraulic modeling and GIS; watershed and urban drainage expertise.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams remotely and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and implementation of water resources projects (flood control, drainage, water supply, wastewater, watershed planning).
• Develop advanced hydraulic/hydrologic models to analyze water systems and predict performance.
• Prepare engineering reports, permit applications, and technical presentations.
• Provide mentorship to project teams and junior engineers remotely.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices in water resources.
