Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Smart Contract Developer to spearhead secure, high-performance smart contracts for decentralized apps. This fully remote role welcomes talent worldwide and requires guiding a team of developers, architecting solutions, and ensuring best practices across projects.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of software development, 5+ years in blockchain, and deep Solidity expertise, with a track record in DeFi and security auditing.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in blockchain/smart contract development.
• Expertise in Solidity and proficiency in other smart contract languages (Vyper, Rust).
• Deep understanding of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and blockchain architectures.
• Proven leadership of development teams and complex projects.
• Familiarity with smart contract security, auditing techniques, and best practices.
• Experience with Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex smart contracts on leading blockchain platforms.
• Define architectural patterns and security best practices for smart contracts.
• Mentor and guide a team of smart contract developers and foster excellence.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews, security audits, and formal verification for smart contracts.
• Research emerging blockchain technologies to drive innovation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues in smart contract implementations.
• Contribute to the strategic technical roadmap for blockchain initiatives.
• Champion secure coding practices and compliance with security standards.
