Placements24 is seeking a Lead Smart Contract Developer to steer architecture, security, and deployment of blockchain-based applications. This fully remote role requires a visionary leader to guide a distributed team of engineers worldwide.

You will design and deploy secure, high-performance contracts, mentor developers, and collaborate with product and engineering peers to translate complex requirements into robust solutions. Remote work with a global team.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 7+ years software development with 5+ years in blockchain/smart contract work.
• Expertise in Solidity and other languages (Vyper, Rust).
• Deep understanding of EVM and blockchain architectures.
• Experience leading development teams and managing complex projects.
• Security best practices, auditing techniques, and vulnerabilities awareness.
• Familiarity with development frameworks and DeFi concepts.
• Excellent communication and remote leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of complex smart contracts on leading platforms.
• Define patterns and best practices for architecture and security.
• Mentor and guide a team of smart contract developers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements.
• Conduct code reviews, security audits, and formal verification processes.
• Research emerging blockchain technologies and methodologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues in smart contract implementations.
• Contribute to strategic technical roadmap for blockchain initiatives.
• Champion secure coding practices and security standards.
