Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Security Architect for a remote position with a focus on Nelspruit, Mpumalanga operations. You will design, implement and oversee the security architecture of the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable solutions across systems.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in information security, 5+ in security architecture, and deep cloud security experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), plus expertise in IAM and scripting for automation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Cybersecurity.
• 10+ years in information security with 5+ years in security architecture.
• Proven experience in secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of network security, cryptography, and security frameworks (TOGAF, SABSA).
• Experience with IAM solutions and security automation scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure enterprise-level network and system architectures.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines across the org.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews.
• Evaluate security technologies to address emerging threats.
• Lead incident response planning and provide architectural guidance during breaches.
