Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Remote Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security solutions for its global footprint, including Soweto-based support. This fully remote senior role defines security architecture, sets standards and drives innovation in a cloud-native landscape.

You will collaborate with engineering, IT and business teams to ensure security requirements are met, influence stakeholders remotely, and continuously evolve security controls

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security with emphasis on security architecture and design.
• Experience designing and implementing security controls for cloud-native apps and infrastructure.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence stakeholders remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee enterprise-wide security architectures.
• Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for complex systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT and business teams to meet security requirements.
• Lead security requirements for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
