Job summary

Our client, a pioneering force in renewable energy, seeks a Lead Project Manager to drive planning, execution and delivery of large-scale projects across South Africa in a fully remote setting.

Responsibilities include end-to-end PM of solar, wind and other renewables, feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, with PMP certification and 7+ years of experience as a baseline.

Qualifications

• This role requires 7+ years of progressive project management experience in renewables.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale projects from inception to completion.
• Deep knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development cycles, and financial modeling.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project management software and tools.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory and permitting processes.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus; PMP certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PM of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc).
• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules aligned with strategy and regulations.
• Oversee feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental analyses.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with government bodies, communities, investors, and partners.
• Coordinate with EPC teams for seamless execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks (technical, financial, regulatory).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety and environmental policies.
• Drive innovation and best practices in project management for renewables.
• Report progress and financial performance to senior management.
