Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Industrial Engineer to work remotely, overseeing critical projects affecting operations in the Northern Cape region. You will guide teams, develop plans for process optimization, and drive innovation across dispersed sites, with executive visibility and autonomy.

The role requires a master's degree in Industrial Engineering (PhD preferred), 10+ years in the field, and proven leadership in large-scale improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record implementing large-scale process improvements.
• Deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma, operations research and supply chain concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers in design, analysis, and optimization of processes.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to improve efficiency, productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other CI methods across multiple sites.
• Manage complex projects with scope, budget and timelines.
• Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with business goals.
• Drive innovation by researching and recommending new technologies and best practices.
