Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Industrial Engineer to drive remote facility layout and design initiatives across global operations. You will optimize material flow, space utilization, and workstation design using CAD, 3D modeling, and simulation tools.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 8+ years in industrial engineering, including 4+ years in layout and design. You will lead projects from conception to implementation, mentor engineers, and work fully remotely with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in industrial engineering with 4+ years in facility layout/design.
• Proven expertise in optimal facility layouts, material handling, and production balancing.
• Advanced CAD and simulation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Arena, FlexSim.
• Strong Lean manufacturing knowledge and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and redesign of industrial facility layouts for optimal material flow and space utilization.
• Develop site master plans and detailed floor plans for new facilities and expansions.
• Utilize CAD, 3D modeling, and simulation software to visualize and test designs.
• Analyze production requirements and integrate them into facility layouts to meet business goals.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, architecture, and construction teams via virtual platforms.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and advance worker safety in designs.
• Define project scopes, budgets, and timelines for layout projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical guidance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facility design.
• Present proposals and project updates to senior management.
