Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Geoscientist for its remote-first R&D division. You will guide exploration programs, build 3D models, and mentor a team of geoscientists, driving strategic decisions from afar.

The role requires an MSc/PhD in geoscience, 8+ years of exploration experience, and strong leadership and remote-collaboration skills. You will work with diverse datasets and present findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of geological exploration experience with resource identification.
• Expertise in geological modeling and geoscience data analysis.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Proven ability to work remotely and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead exploration programs and integrate seismic, well logs, and geochemical data.
• Develop and refine 3D geological models to identify targets.
• Use subsurface mapping and data interpretation software.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the team.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership.
