Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly motivated Remote Exploration Geologist to lead early-stage mineral exploration projects from a home-based setting. You will analyze diverse geological data, build and interpret 3D models, and craft technical reports that guide global prospectivity assessments.

The role requires a master's in geology, at least 5 years in mineral exploration, and strong skills in data analytics and geological software.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or a related discipline with a strong focus on exploration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a significant portion involving data analysis and modeling.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, ArcGIS).
• Strong understanding of various mineral deposit types and exploration techniques.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geological data from various sources, including geophysical surveys, satellite imagery, and geochemical sampling.
• Develop and interpret 3D geological models to identify potential mineral targets.
• Conduct literature reviews and database searches to assess geological prospectivity in new areas.
• Collaborate with remote sensing specialists and geochemists to refine exploration strategies.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on exploration findings and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological software and exploration technologies.
