Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Electrical Project Engineer to drive end-to-end electrical design for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind and storage. You will lead a remote-first engineering team, develop technical specifications, and ensure interconnection with grid operators and regulators.

The role requires a Master's in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years' experience, including 5+ years in renewables.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or Renewable Energy.
10+ years in electrical engineering with 5+ years on renewables and grid integration.
Proven leadership of engineering teams on complex projects.
Strong knowledge of grid codes and interconnection standards.
Experience with power system analysis software (PSS/E, DIgSILENT, PSCAD).
Excellent remote communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and engineering for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage).
Develop detailed system designs: single-line diagrams, schematics, equipment specs.
Perform power system studies including interconnection and harmonics analyses.
Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers.
Coordinate with grid operators and regulators for interconnection.
Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for electrical scope.
Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Ensure designs meet national and international standards.
