Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Project Engineer to drive end-to-end electrical design for renewable energy integrations. This remote-first role requires guiding multi-discipline teams, managing complex projects, and ensuring compliance with grid codes across international standards.

You will lead design, studies, and commissioning activities from concept to handover, while coordinating with stakeholders worldwide in a flexible, remote work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in renewable energy and grid integration.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes and interconnection standards.
• Experience with grid interconnection studies and power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage).
• Develop detailed electrical system designs including single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Perform power system studies: interconnection, harmonic analysis, transient stability.
• Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers.
• Coordinate with grid operators and regulators for interconnection compliance.
• Oversee procurement, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets for electrical scope.
