Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Electrical Project Engineer to drive complex renewable energy projects from concept to completion, fully remote from SA. You will manage planning, budgeting and execution, while guiding a distributed team of engineers and technicians across projects in solar and wind sectors.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of project management experience, and strong leadership with remote collaboration skills. Pr.Eng/PMP advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering project management, especially renewables.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in remote/hybrid environments.
• Fluency in English; strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of electrical infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Mentor a distributed team of engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulators for project success.
• Provide regular status reports to senior management.
