Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Crypto Security Engineer to spearhead security initiatives for blockchain products. This fully remote role offers the chance to protect digital assets and platform integrity while shaping cryptographic strategies and secure coding practices.

You will design security architectures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and lead incident response. Collaboration with development teams to embed security throughout the SDLC is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive cybersecurity experience focused on blockchain and cryptocurrency security.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, key management, and secure coding.
• Experience with security assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis for blockchain systems.
• Familiarity with security tools and frameworks for smart contracts and distributed ledger technologies.
• Understanding of common blockchain vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security protocols and architectures for blockchain networks and applications.
• Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments of smart contracts and dApps.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures across the organization, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, mitigating risks and developing remediation plans.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities in the blockchain and cryptocurrency landscape.
