Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote IT Systems Administrator to manage cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure for a global SaaS client. You will ensure uptime, security, and scalability for a remote workforce.

The role covers Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), AWS and Azure, AD, DNS/DHCP, GPO, and proactive problem solving. Strong scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in systems administration with a focus on remote operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux server environments with installations, configurations and patching.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Implement and manage network services: AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO.
• Ensure system security with access controls and firewalls.
• Monitor performance and implement proactive solutions to maintain uptime.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and DR plans.
• Provide Tier 3 support for complex issues.
• Plan upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to support objectives.
