Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our expanding virtual operations team. You will provide expert remote troubleshooting and manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure across Windows, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure support with remote administration.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking, and virtualization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and task management.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Server+, MCSA, or cloud certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level remote troubleshooting and resolution for server, network, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for uptime and efficiency.
• Manage and maintain virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Implement and enforce IT security best practices, including patch management and access control.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
• Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
