Placements24 is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Specialist for a prominent wine estate and tourism group in the Western Cape. You will assess controls, risk management, and governance, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 4+ years in audit, COSO familiarity, and the ability to work independently, with flexible remote options and opportunities for professional development in a dynamic wine and hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance.
• CIA, CISA or CA(SA) certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in internal/external audit or related assurance function.
• Knowledge of COSO and risk management principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit engagements across departments.
• Assess adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risks.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify audit areas.
• Develop and execute audit programs and document findings.
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Follow up on audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assist external auditors as required.
• Provide advisory on internal controls and process improvements.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging risks.
