Sumer Group is seeking an accomplished Audit Manager to lead the internal audit function remotely, serving extensive operations including Port Elizabeth. This leadership role focuses on assessing risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across the organization.

You will manage a team of auditors, plan and execute comprehensive audit projects, and present findings to senior management and the audit committee.

Qualificações

• A relevant degree in accounting or finance is typically required.
• Professional certifications such as CA(SA) or ACCA are highly advantageous.
• Several years of progressive experience in auditing are a common prerequisite.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan, prioritizing risks and resources effectively.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of internal auditors, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes, identifying control weaknesses and inefficiencies.
• Prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation by management.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry best practices, and emerging risks relevant to the organization.
