Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Insurance Underwriter to join a fast-growing insurtech team servicing clients nationwide, including Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will evaluate applications, determine risk acceptability, set premiums and ensure profitability while delivering excellent service.

The role is fully remote, requires strong analytical ability and experience with underwriting software, CRM systems, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in insurance underwriting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Assess insurance applications to evaluate risk exposure per guidelines.
• Set terms, conditions and pricing to ensure profitability.
• Communicate with brokers, agents and internal teams for required information.
• Make underwriting decisions within defined authority.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of underwriting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze data and market intelligence to inform strategies.
• Manage a portfolio of accounts with timely processing and renewals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and new underwriting tools.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Proactively manage workload in a remote environment.
