The role is fully remote, requires strong analytical ability and experience with underwriting software, CRM systems, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding insurtech company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Insurance Underwriter to join their virtual team, servicing clients nationwide, including Kimberley, Northern Cape. This role is fundamental to assessing and managing risk for a variety of insurance policies. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating applications, determining risk acceptability, setting premiums, and ensuring profitability while providing exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assess insurance applications to evaluate risk exposure based on established underwriting guidelines.
• Determine appropriate policy terms, conditions, and pricing to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
• Communicate effectively with brokers, agents, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify details.
• Make sound underwriting decisions, applying judgment and experience within defined authority limits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of underwriting policies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
