Placements24 is seeking a friendly and professional Remote Insurance Customer Service Representative to join their support team from home in South Africa. You will be the first point of contact for policyholders, answering inquiries and assisting with policy-related requests, delivering excellent service remotely.

Work remotely across phone, email, and chat with a focus on patience, clear communication, and accurate CRM documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further certifications in customer service are a plus.
• Experience in customer service, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with active listening abilities.
• Proficiency in using computers, CRM software, and virtual communication tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure.
• A dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet connection is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist policyholders with policy inquiries, coverage explanations, and billing questions.
• Process policy endorsements, changes, and cancellations accurately.
• Provide information on new products and services when appropriate.
• Document all customer interactions and resolutions in the CRM system.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments or supervisors for resolution.
