Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join a distributed, fully remote engineering team. You will design, implement and maintain advanced automation systems, focusing on safety, efficiency and quality across industrial processes.

The role requires a bachelor's in Electrical/Chemical/Control Engineering, at least five years of industrial experience, and strong PLC/DCS expertise (Siemens, Rockwell).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Control Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering within industrial settings.
• Expertise in PLC/DCS programming, configuration, and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell).
• Strong understanding of process control principles, loop tuning, and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
• Proven ability to work effectively and independently in a remote engineering environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify instrumentation, control valves, and associated systems for process applications.
• Develop and implement PLC/DCS control strategies and logic for complex industrial processes.
• Configure and calibrate various types of industrial sensors and transmitters.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams remotely to define system requirements and deliver solutions.
• Stay current with advancements in instrumentation and control technologies to recommend improvements.
