Placements24 is seeking a Remote Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for automated industrial processes. This role supports distributed teams and focuses on remote optimization of complex systems.

You will design PLC/DCS programs, develop HMI/SCADA interfaces, select components, and provide remote support to operations teams. A strong autonomous work style is essential in this fully remote position.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical controls engineering and automation.
Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and HMI/SCADA software.
Strong understanding of industrial networking, motor control, and process instrumentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Design and program PLC/DCS systems for various industrial automation applications.
Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces for system monitoring, control, and data acquisition.
Specify and select electrical components, sensors, actuators, and drives for control systems.
Troubleshoot and debug control system issues, providing remote support to operations teams.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to define system requirements and ensure successful implementation.
