Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Industrial Automation Engineer to join their globally distributed team. You will design, develop, implement, and maintain automated control systems for manufacturing processes, with focus on performance, efficiency and safety.

This fully remote role requires at least 5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proficiency with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial automation or control systems.
• Proficiency with PLCs and HMI/SCADA software (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with robotics and vision systems.
• Strong networking knowledge for industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI).
• Develop and implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and quality.
• Provide remote technical support and maintenance for automated systems.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and IT to integrate automation solutions.
• Conduct system performance analysis and recommend upgrades or modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in automation design.
