Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Information Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of our global security infrastructure. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to shape security across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will develop security blueprints, evaluate new technologies, and collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to embed security into the full system lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/IT or related field.
• 7+ years in information security architecture and design.
• Proven cloud security expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, DLP, network security, and cryptography.
• Experience with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure enterprise-level solutions focusing on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments.
• Develop and document security blueprints, standards, and best practices for the organization.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and methodologies to enhance defense capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure security is integrated into the system lifecycle.
• Lead threat modeling exercises and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices, compliance requirements, and incident response strategies.
