Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security solutions across cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure from anywhere within South Africa.

You will conduct vulnerability testing, respond to incidents, and automate security processes while collaborating with development and operations teams to embed security into the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of information security engineering experience.
• Strong network security concepts and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Develop security policies and enforce data protection.
