Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Information Security Architect in a fully remote role. You will design secure enterprise architectures, set security standards, and guide engineering teams on implementing robust controls across cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) while aligning with GDPR/POPIA requirements.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in information security, expertise in risk assessments, and certifications like CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF, or CISM.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design secure architectural blueprints for enterprise systems and applications.
Define security standards, guidelines, and best practices for technology implementations.
Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Provide expert consultation on security architecture to project teams.
Oversee the implementation of security controls and configurations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive security architecture documentation.
Ensure architectural designs meet compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, POPIA).
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align security architecture with business objectives.
