About the Role

Our client is searching for a proactive Industrial Engineer to focus on enhancing quality systems and processes within their facilities located in the Eastern Cape. This role, based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA , will involve the systematic analysis of production and operational data to identify areas where quality can be improved, defects reduced, and overall product consistency elevated. You will be responsible for implementing robust quality control measures and driving continuous improvement initiatives that align with international standards. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify root causes of quality issues and defects.
• Develop and implement statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
• Design and refine quality assurance procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with quality control teams and production staff to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing product quality and reducing waste.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Conduct internal audits of quality management systems.
• Utilize quality improvement tools such as FMEA, Pareto charts, and fishbone diagrams.
• Monitor key quality metrics and report on performance trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• At least 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong emphasis on quality systems and process improvement.
• Proven experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools (SPC, FMEA).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
