Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Industrial Engineer to optimize supply chains for a global logistics leader. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere in South Africa while tackling complex network design, inventory, and forecasting challenges.

You will use AnyLogic or Simio, SQL, Python, and BI tools to model operations, drive cost reductions, and deliver data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering focused on supply chain optimization.
• Expertise in supply chain modeling, simulation (AnyLogic, Simio), and optimization software.
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
• Experience leading remote projects with distributed teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies and cost savings.
• Develop data-driven strategies for network design, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Use simulation and modeling to test and optimize scenarios.
