Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Engineer to optimize supply chains from home. You will analyze end-to-end operations, design network configurations, and implement cost reductions with data-driven methods.

You will collaborate with distributed teams across time zones and leverage tools like AnyLogic, Llamasoft, CPLEX, and Power BI to deliver measurable improvements while maintaining lean principles and robust communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related quantitative field.
• 4-6 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on supply chain and logistics optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with complex datasets.
• Proficiency in supply chain modeling, simulation, and optimization software (AnyLogic, Llamasoft, CPLEX).
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of lean methodologies in supply chain environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with WMS and TMS is advantageous.
• Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for supply chain optimization.
• Design and model optimal network configurations, layouts, and material flows.
• Use simulation and optimization software to evaluate scenarios.
• Collaborate remotely with managers, staff, and stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance and drive improvements.
• Create detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
• Implement lean principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis for disruptions and develop corrective actions.
