Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Technical Support Specialist to join a global innovator in industrial automation. You will provide expert remote assistance for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex control systems, operating fully from home as the primary client contact using advanced diagnostic tools and knowledge bases.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, at least four years in technical support for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Minimum of 4 years in technical support or field service for industrial automation.
Proficient with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and drives.
Strong knowledge of Modbus, Profibus and Ethernet/IP.

Responsibilities

Provide expert remote support for industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, drives).
Diagnose hardware, software and network issues affecting system performance.
Guide clients and on-site technicians remotely through installation, configuration and maintenance procedures.
Analyze system performance data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides for remote support.
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or product development teams with detailed information.
Manage incoming support requests, prioritize issues by severity, and ensure timely resolution per SLAs.
Stay abreast of new product releases, software updates and industry best practices in industrial automation.
Contribute to improving support processes and tools for enhanced remote service delivery.
Deliver remote training sessions on product functionality and troubleshooting techniques.
