Placements24 seeks a Remote Automation Specialist to design, program, and troubleshoot automated systems and robotic cells for global manufacturing clients from a home office. You will work with FANUC, KUKA, ABB, PLCs, and SCADA, delivering robust automation solutions remotely.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechatronics, 6+ years in automation and robotics, strong PLC/HMI/SCADA experience, and proven remote collaboration skills for diverse projects worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial automation and robotics programming and integration.
• Proficiency in programming multiple robot brands (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and associated simulation software.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profinet).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and implementation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to work effectively remotely.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated solutions, including robotic work cells, PLC integration, and SCADA systems.
• Program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) using their respective languages and simulation software.
• Configure and integrate PLC control systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) with robotic equipment.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting and debugging of automated systems and robotic applications.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system performance and functionality.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including electrical schematics, programming code, and user manuals.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in robotics, automation technology, and industry best practices.
• Provide remote technical support and training to client personnel as needed.
• Ensure all implemented solutions meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
