Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Hygiene Program Coordinator to support clients in the Port Elizabeth and Eastern Cape regions. The role is fully remote and focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining hygiene programs to meet stringent food safety standards.

You will conduct virtual assessments, provide expert guidance, and stay updated on South Africa regulations. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential for success in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a food-related field.
• Minimum 4 years in food safety, hygiene management, or QA in food/beverage.
• Strong HACCP, GMP knowledge and compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Remotely develop and implement hygiene and sanitation programs for food operations.
• Conduct virtual audits to verify compliance with food safety regulations.
• Provide guidance on best practices in food handling and hygiene management.
• Review data and identify opportunities for improvement in hygiene performance.
• Create and update hygiene-related documentation and procedures.
• Liaise with clients to address concerns and ensure satisfaction with services.
• Keep up-to-date with South Africa/ Eastern Cape hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with internal QA teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Prepare reports on assessments, compliance, and corrective actions.
• Promote food safety culture through remote client engagement.
