Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Hygiene Compliance Auditor to help ensure top hygiene standards across South Africa's food facilities. This fully remote role leverages digital auditing tools and data analysis to assess compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000 and GFSI standards.

You will review operational records, sanitation logs and documentation, communicate with on-site staff when needed, and prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for corrective measures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in food safety, QA, sanitation, or regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000 and GFSI standards.
• Experience auditing, preferably remotely.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with digital collaboration tools and document management systems.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and potential contaminants.
• Familiarity with South African food regulations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote audits of food facilities for hygiene, sanitation, and safety.
