Placements24 is seeking a Remote HVAC Design Engineer in South Africa to design and specify HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. You will perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy modeling, collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers through virtual platforms.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years in HVAC design, strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit MEP, and familiarity with SA building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of HVAC design experience in consulting or engineering firms.
• Proficient with CAD/BIM tools and energy modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of SA codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Excellent communication and remote-work capability.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for varied building types including load calculations and equipment selection.
• Create detailed HVAC drawings and specifications using CAD/BIM tools.
