About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Human Resources Manager to lead their HR function from anywhere in South Africa. This is a fully remote position responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with the company's global objectives. You will be instrumental in shaping the employee experience, fostering a strong remote-first culture, and ensuring operational excellence across all HR domains, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to build and scale HR processes for a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and programs that support a distributed workforce.
• Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, and offboarding, in a remote setting.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws across all operational regions and maintain robust HR policies.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives tailored for remote teams, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.
• Manage compensation and benefits structures, ensuring competitiveness and fairness for a remote workforce.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team and business leaders on HR best practices and challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing HR strategies for remote or distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of South African labor law and global HR compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS and other HR technologies for remote management.
• Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
