Placements24 is seeking a seasoned remote HR Manager to lead human resources for a distributed workforce. You will design and implement HR strategies that foster a positive, productive, and inclusive virtual culture while operating autonomously in a remote-first environment.

You will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR policy development, guiding leadership with data-driven insights and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience with leadership exposure.
• Experience managing HR for remote or distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and HR policies.
• Experience with HRIS and compensation/benefits administration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

About the Role

You will oversee all HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR policy development, operating autonomously within a virtual-first environment. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing HR for a remote or distributed workforce.
• Expertise in South African labor law, HR policies, and HRIS management.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's or professional certification preferred.
