Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Remote HR Generalist to join our client’s expanding team. The role operates remotely across South Africa, handling employee relations, policy guidance, recruitment support, and onboarding with minimal supervision.

You will maintain accurate HR data, ensure compliance in a distributed workforce, and contribute to engagement initiatives while delivering high-level service to managers and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Proven ability to manage HR functions remotely and knowledge of SA labor law.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and adaptable Senior Remote HR Generalist to join their growing team, operating entirely remotely across South Africa . This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who excels in managing diverse HR functions independently and virtually. You will be responsible for a wide array of HR activities, including employee relations, HR policy guidance, recruitment support, and onboarding processes, all delivered remotely. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to maintain a high level of service and compliance in a distributed workforce environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR support and guidance to employees and managers remotely.
• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
• Support the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding remote and on-site staff.
• Administer and advise on HR policies, procedures, and benefits programs.
• Maintain accurate employee data and HR records in the HRIS.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements
