Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding for remote employees.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across the remote workforce.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related queries and issues.
• Support the implementation of HR initiatives and programs designed for a remote workforce.
• Conduct investigations into employee concerns or grievances, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on HR best practices, including performance feedback and development.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of remote work policies and best practices.
• Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits for remote employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a broad HR Generalist role, preferably with experience supporting remote or distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of employee lifecycle management and HR best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of South African labor law.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across different time zones and cultures.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR technology tools relevant for remote work.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
