Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Hotel Operations Strategist to optimize a portfolio of properties. This fully remote role requires deep hotel operations knowledge, data-driven decision making, and coordinating with on-site and virtual teams across South Africa.

You will analyze KPIs (occupancy, RevPAR, guest satisfaction), design strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality, and present insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in hotel operations management with emphasis on strategic planning and analysis.
• Experience in data analysis, performance measurement, and developing operational strategies in hospitality.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of hotel management systems and revenue management.
• Proficient in data visualization and advanced Excel.
• Must have a master's degree in a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze KPIs for hotel operations (occupancy, RevPAR, guest satisfaction, costs).
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
• Forecast trends and identify future needs from operational data.
• Collaborate with GMs and department heads across properties.
• Create reports and recommendations for senior management.
• Maintain operational standards and best practices across departments.
• Utilize data analytics tools to identify inefficiencies and solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competing strategies.
• Lead virtual training for on-site staff on new procedures.
• Monitor initiatives and measure impact on outcomes.
