Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales for a leading FMCG company. This executive role is fully remote, reporting to the global leadership, and linked to Pretoria operations.

You will define and execute the overall sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and build high-performing national teams. You will mentor a sales force, identify opportunities, manage budgets and pricing, collaborate with marketing, product, and operations, and negotiate major deals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in sales leadership, with FMCG background
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
• Experience building and managing high-performing sales teams
• Expertise in sales methodologies, CRM, and forecasting
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Strategic thinking and data-driven problem solving
• Experience managing complex sales cycles and key accounts
• Comfort with remote work and self-discipline
• Authorized to work in South Africa

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and profit targets across all product lines
• Lead, mentor, and develop a national sales team
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies
• Collaborate with marketing to align sales and marketing initiatives
• Oversee sales budgets, pricing strategies, and promotions
• Establish and monitor KPIs and report to senior leadership
• Negotiate and close major deals and nurture long-term relationships
• Drive operational excellence and leverage technology to improve efficiency
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences
