Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Business Development Manager to drive growth across markets from a home-based setup. You will identify opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and close high-value deals, leveraging deep SA market insights.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, craft compelling proposals, and shape long-term growth strategy in a fully remote capacity, with strong emphasis on revenue expansion and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a strong plus.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in business development or corporate strategy roles.
• Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships that drive revenue.
• Experience in market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience working remotely with strong self-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to identify and capture new market opportunities.
• Identify and pursue potential strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that align with company goals.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at partner organizations.
• Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements and SLAs.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and legal teams to execute BD initiatives.
• Drive revenue growth through new channels and partnerships, meeting targets.
• Develop and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations to potential partners.
• Monitor market dynamics and provide insights for strategic adjustments.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences (virtual or in-person).
