Placements24 is seeking a Senior Grid Modernization Specialist to join our distributed team. This fully remote role focuses on planning and implementing strategies to upgrade power grid with smart meters, DER integration, and grid controls.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in power systems, strong PM skills, and a passion for innovation. You will collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver a resilient, efficient, and sustainable grid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years in power systems, grid operations, or smart grid technologies.
• Proven experience with smart grid technologies (AMI, SCADA, DER integration, grid automation).
• Strong project management and ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadmaps for grid modernization and DER integration.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve reliability, efficiency, flexibility.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT for project implementations.
• Analyze grid performance data and measure modernization impact.
• Manage vendor relationships and procure grid modernization equipment/software.
